English for Children and Teenagers Children (from 4 to 8 years)
Small children from 4 years onwards are beginning to become familiar with reading and writing in their own language. At YESSI we do this with English. We use the latest, motivating material. Our students learn through: songs, stories, videos, games, manual activities, plays, etc... In this way we stimulate their capacity to understand English.
In order to optimize understanding, pronunciation and oral expression the classes are taught in English.
Students who already know how to read and write practise these skills in English through exercises in their workbook especially adapted to their level. In the last course of CHILDREN, YESSI introduces the Rapid-Way: “Learn By Doing” system to practise the following language skills:
- Pronunciation.
- Vocabulary.
- Oral expression.
- All the activities and exercises are done in class.
- CHILDREN are not given homework.
- There are three levels of courses for CHILDREN:
- CHILDREN I (4/5 years).
- CHILDREN II (6/7 years).
- CHILDREN III (7/8 years).
- Courses last for an academic year: from October until the end of June.
- New students can join the course at any time during the year providing they have the right level – this is verified by means of a placement test.
- Each term students do an exam especially adapted to these levels and they receive a report on their progress written by their teacher.
- Some students may be able to do two courses in one year depending on their level of English, maturity, age ...
